Welcome to RAAFA
We recently worked with RAAFA, one of Western Australia’s largest and most trusted not-for-profit retirement living and residential care providers. Established in 1929, RAAFA has a long history of caring for the community — from offering high-quality retirement living and residential care to running the Aviation Heritage Museum in Bull Creek.
RAAFA approached us to produce a short welcome video for their website that would give viewers an overview of their services and the positive impact they have within the community. The video needed to communicate the breadth of what RAAFA does — from supporting residents and staff to celebrating their aviation heritage — all in a concise and engaging way.
Our Approach
Filming took place across three days at two locations: RAAFA’s Mandurah and Bull Creek sites. Working to a tight schedule, we collaborated closely with the client, capturing a wide range of interviews with staff, volunteers, and residents, alongside stunning visuals of their facilities and the museum.
Throughout the filming process, RAAFA took the lead in planning and conducting interviews. However, during post-production, their priorities evolved — and we supported them in pivoting the project to deliver a more focused, shorter, overview video that better aligned with their refined goals.
What We Delivered
We delivered a short, polished welcome video in multiple formats — including 16:9 and vertical versions, both with and without captions — giving RAAFA the flexibility to use it across their website and social media.
The main challenge of this project was condensing RAAFA’s diverse range of services into a brief yet meaningful narrative. By carefully selecting interview moments and pairing them with emotive visuals, we were able to showcase the heart of RAAFA’s mission: caring for people and creating community.
Continued Collaboration
This marks our second project with RAAFA, following the video we created for their Andrew Russell Veterans Living (ARVL) Program earlier this year. It’s been a pleasure working with such a well-respected WA organisation and helping tell their story in a way that reflects their impact and values.
