RAAFA - Andrew Russell Veterans Living (ARVL) Program

At GINGERBEARD Media, we recently had the privilege of working with RAAFA WA to produce two important videos for their Andrew Russell Veterans Living (ARVL) Program. This project allowed us to help share the story of this incredible veteran support initiative and honour the legacy of Andrew Russell.

We had the honour of filming an interview with Andrew’s widow Kylie and their daughter Leisa, capturing their heartfelt words to create a powerful and authentic narrative.

The first video focused on explaining the ARVL Program, a vital initiative providing safe, supportive, and affordable accommodation for veterans facing homelessness or housing insecurity. Our goal was to clearly communicate the program’s mission, the support it offers, and its positive impact on veterans' lives. We crafted a story-driven video that combined powerful visuals with heartfelt interviews, helping audiences connect with the ARVL Program’s purpose on a deeper level.

The second video told the story of Andrew Russell, after whom the program is named. Andrew Russell was a brave soldier who served his country with honour, and his legacy continues to inspire those around him.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with RAAFA to ensure the videos aligned with their vision and messaging. From pre-production to final delivery, we approached these sensitive topics with respect and authenticity, delivering impactful story-driven video content.

The completed videos are now helping RAAFA share the ARVL Program’s story and honour Andrew Russell’s legacy. It’s a project we’re incredibly proud to have been a part of, and we hope these videos help raise awareness and support for the ARVL Program and veteran support housing initiatives.
