SPB Group - Lils Construction Refurbishment Highlight Video

SBP Group is a commercial construction company based in Western Australia, specialising in high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across a variety of sectors — including hospitality, retail, and office spaces.

They got in touch with us just as they were completing a hospitality fit-out in Perth’s CBD and were looking for a professional video that could showcase the quality of their work. This was the first time SBP had used video to promote a project, and they wanted something that would reflect their attention to detail while resonating with their target audience.

Our role was to guide them through the entire video production process — from clarifying the goal of the video to final delivery — ensuring they had a strong and versatile piece of content they could use across platforms.

Our Approach to This Commercial Construction Video

When working on a project showcase video, it’s important to consider not only what the video will look like but also who will be watching it and where. SBP’s core audience includes architects, project managers, and commercial clients — decision-makers who value quality, detail, and reliability.

While we could have leaned into a high-energy, fast-cut “hype” style edit, we felt that something more measured and refined would better reflect the SBP brand. We proposed a slower-paced edit that allowed viewers to take in the craftsmanship of the refurbishment, with clean visuals and a focus on the finer details of the venue’s transformation. This approach also gives the video longevity, ensuring it remains relevant beyond just a social media campaign.

Filming at Lil’s in Perth

Filming took place at Lil’s, a newly refurbished hospitality venue located in the heart of the Perth CBD. The timing was critical — we needed to film just after the construction was completed but before the venue officially reopened. This gave us the opportunity to capture the space in perfect condition, free from the complications of filming around guests or daily operations.

We focused on the key architectural features and finishings that SBP had delivered, making sure that the camera movement, lighting, and composition all highlighted the workmanship. By carefully selecting our filming time and working efficiently on site, we were able to deliver a polished result without disrupting the venue's schedule.

What We Delivered

We produced two versions of the final video to give SBP flexibility across different marketing channels:

  • A 40-second widescreen (16x9) version, ideal for use on their website and in presentations

  • A 40-second vertical (9x16) version, optimised for platforms like Instagram Stories, LinkedIn, and email marketing

Both versions were designed to be clean, professional, and visually aligned with SBP’s brand.

How SBP Group Is Using the Video

Since delivery, SBP Group has used the video across their website, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns to promote their capabilities in the hospitality sector. The video now forms part of their broader marketing toolkit — helping potential clients get a clear and immediate sense of the standard of work SBP delivers.

By showcasing this project through video, they’ve created a visual case study that can be used repeatedly to support sales, build trust, and open conversations with new clients.
