Blackoak Capital — Heritage Restoration Construction Update

We’ve been working with Blackoak Capital for several years, primarily creating video content to help them communicate with key stakeholders.

Our latest project focuses on the heritage restoration of the Edward Millen site (now renamed Elizabeth Baillie) in East Victoria Park.

To document the progress, we visit the site once a month to capture key construction milestones, staff activity, and restoration details. Each visit contributes to a short update video designed to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the build.

Capturing Progress Safely

Filming on an active construction site always brings unique challenges — from safety considerations to coordinating with trades and site managers.

Our previous experience working in similar environments and Bruce’s previous career in Health and Safety in the Oil and Gas industry helps us move and film efficiently while ensuring both our own and other’s on site are comfortable and understand the filming process.

The result is a natural, unobtrusive look at the progress being made — helping bring transparency and storytelling to the construction process.

What We Delivered

For this project, we delivered monthly construction update videos, combining on-site footage and key progress visuals. These updates are distributed through stakeholder communications and occasionally shared on LinkedIn to highlight project progress and momentum.

Continuing Collaboration

This is just one example of our ongoing work with Blackoak Capital, capturing their developments as they evolve. We’ve enjoyed helping them strengthen their brand through consistent, high-quality visual updates that clearly communicate progress and professionalism.

If you’d like to talk about how video could help capture your business' work and progress, we’d love to have a chat. Please feel free to reach out for a call.
