Truck Centre WA – Creating a Suite of Marketing Videos from a Single Shoot

When you're investing in video production, it's worth thinking beyond a single deliverable.

Truck Centre WA approached us to produce a video explaining their truck servicing offers.

While the original brief centred around a service overview, we idendified video assets that would assist the client, and so the project evolved during filming into a broader suite of marketing and advertising videos that gave the client multiple ways to communicate with potential customers.

By the end of the shoot, we had created three distinct videos, each serving a different purpose within their marketing.

Our Approach

The project was filmed at Truck Centre WA's Maddington workshop, with the client leading much of the planning before production.

Rather than working from a detailed script, many of the decisions were intentionally left until filming. This allowed the presenters to speak naturally from their own experience, creating a genuine and authentic delivery.

Our role was to coach and support the talent, helping refine their messaging, improve delivery, and ensure key points were communicated clearly while still allowing their personality to come through.

By understanding the client's services, key selling points, and target audience, we were able to guide the discussion, suggest improvements, and identify additional opportunities to capture valuable content.

Looking Beyond the Original Brief

During filming, it became clear there was an opportunity to create more than just the planned service overview.

As conversations developed we identified two additional videos that would strengthen the overall marketing campaign.

So, instead of relying on a single video to communicate everything. The client walked away with a collection of marketing assets that could be used for different audiences and different stages of the customer journey.

Adapting on the Day

Although we always encourage thorough planning before production, every project is different.

In this case, the client preferred to make many creative decisions during filming. That required us to stay flexible, provide advice and guidance as ideas developed, and adapt our approach throughout the day.

It's a good example of how production isn't simply about operating cameras. Sometimes the greatest value comes from recognising opportunities as they arise and helping shape content that wasn't part of the original brief.

By remaining adaptable, we were able to expand the project from one planned video into a suite of complementary marketing assets.

The two times this came into play were when;

  1. We idenitified a relevant case study during filming - and so we pivoted to explore and film that

  2. We suggested that the client would benefit from a short direct sales video on the service

What We Delivered

For this project, we delivered:

  • 1 × 90-second truck servicing overview video

  • 1 × 45-second customer case study video

  • 1 × 15-second advertising video

Together, these videos provide Truck Centre WA with a versatile collection of marketing assets that can be used across their website, digital advertising, and social media channels.

Let’s Wrap This Up!

A filming session doesn't have to produce just one video.

By looking beyond the original brief and identifying additional opportunities during production, Truck Centre WA finished the project with a collection of videos designed to support different marketing objectives; from building awareness, to demonstrating credibility, through to creating a short advertisement for paid campaigns.

If you're already investing in professional video production, it's worth considering how a single shoot can produce multiple marketing assets. With the right planning - and adaptation during filming, you can create content that delivers value well beyond the original brief.
