AGEM Property Group - Illuka Plaza Investment Video

When presenting an investment opportunity, clarity is everything.

AGEM Property Group approached us to create a video that would help communicate an upcoming opportunity within their portfolio — specifically highlighting their Iluka Plaza asset. The aim was to give potential investors a clear, visual understanding of the precinct and support their broader marketing efforts.

This was our first project with AGEM, with the relationship stemming from a previous client connection.

Our Approach

The project was filmed over half a day at Iluka Plaza in Perth’s northern suburbs.

AGEM came into the project with a rough script outlining the key points they wanted to communicate. Rather than locking everything in before filming, we kept the approach flexible - capturing a wide range of footage that could be shaped more precisely during the editing phase to suit their final message.

This allowed the messaging to evolve once the visuals were in place, giving the client the opportunity to refine the script based on how the content actually looked on screen, as well as to how their marketing strategy was refined as the project progressed forward.

Filming on Location

Capturing a shopping precinct comes with its own logistical considerations.

We needed to coordinate access with multiple tenancies while also being mindful of filming in a public space. To simplify permissions and avoid the need for individual releases, we worked carefully to minimise recognisable members of the public in frame, and worked with business owners to ensure that we only captured suitable areas of their business.

At the same time, we focused on capturing footage that showcased the scale, activity, and layout of the precinct — giving context to the investment without disrupting day-to-day operations. A key part of this was the drone work we also completed.

Creative & Technical Approach

Because the planning wasn’t fully locked in prior to filming, our approach was to overcapture.

This meant gathering a broad range of visuals — different angles, times, and areas of the precinct — so we had maximum flexibility in the edit. It allowed us to build the story once the full picture was clear, rather than being restricted by a fixed shot list.

In post-production, the focus shifted to refining the messaging and aligning it with the visuals. The script was adjusted and tightened to ensure the final video clearly communicated the opportunity in a concise and structured way.

What We Delivered

At the completion of the project, we delivered:

  • 1 investment overview video

  • Delivered in 16×9 format for website and EDM use

  • Provided with and without captions

This gave AGEM a clean, professional asset that could be used directly within their investor communications.

Let’s Wrap This Up!

This project is a good example of how flexibility in production can lead to stronger outcomes.

By capturing more than we strictly needed, we created room to refine the message in post-production — ensuring the final video aligned with both the visuals and the intent of the campaign.

For investment-focused content, where clarity and confidence are key, this kind of approach can make a significant difference.

If you need to communicate an opportunity clearly and professionally, video can be one of the most effective tools to do it.
