Zambrero - Plate 4 Plate
Back in October 2016 we were contacted by an event management company as they needed help to capture video for the Perth-part of an Australian-wide event.
Zambrero, as many people will be aware, is a quick-service Mexican restaurant who have an aim of providing a healthy, modern Mexican food such as burritos, tacos, nachos and quesadillas.
But Zambrero also pride themselves on being a humanitarian enterprise who are committed to tackling world hunger through its initiative called Plate 4 Plate.
Plate 4 Plate allowed Zambrero to join forces with Stop Hunger Now; an international hunger relief agency, with an aim to deliver meals to those who need it most across Africa, Asia and the Americas. Locally, Zambrero partner with Foodbank so as to provide a meal to an Australian in need every time someone purchases a product from Zambrero’s retail range.
To get these meals ready for shipping, Zambreros hosts annual 'packing days' where volunteers come in and help pack the meals up.
And so on the 21st October, as Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane packed their meals, Zambrero asked us to come along and capture this process in Perth.
At the end of the day our footage was then sent over to a Queensland-based team for them to bring together with the other footage that was shot all over Australia.

The efforts of these dedicated volunteers meant that a total of 353,376 meals were packed. And these meals provided daily lunches for 2,250 children in 75 kindergartens and home-based feeding programs over in the Philippines.
Along with our video footage, we also provided Zambreros with over 140 photos, which were provided back to the volunteers via the Plate 4 Plate website. You can find a selection of some of our photos below.
GINGERBEARD Media has, for the last few years, been a team of one person. Head Beard Bruce has worked with clients to understand their project and then shot, edited and delivered their media for use. However, as we continue to expand and work for more and more clients, we obviously need to also expand our team to suit the workload. So for this project one of our young-gun freelance shooters took the reigns and what a fantastic result he's delivered.
