Guide Dogs WA - Buddy Dogs for Kids Program
The Guide Dogs organisation is well recognised charity across the globe who usually work to train up guide dogs for those who need them in the community. A couple of weeks ago we worked with the West Australian branch of the organisation; Guide Dogs WA to capture an interview and some footage to help explain and publicise their new program; "Buddy Dogs for Kids".
The program looks to take guide dogs and specialise their training for use in young families where a child has autism. With a trained dog the children's behavioral and learning issues are assisted and often, for many, just the dogs company will help the child have a more relaxed life.
Let's take a look a sample of some of the shots we captured whilst working at their office in Vic Park.
Guide Dogs plan to use the interview and footage we've shot to publicise and promote their new program to the public with the aim of raising awareness and donations for the program itself. These will then be taken to help expand the program and ultimately assist more children with autism. The videos created are planned for release through social media platforms such as Facebook - so stay tuned for those.
