We were recently back in the studio shooting a series of professional profile shots for our latest client Tammy.
Tammy will now have our photos sitting pride of place on her email signature and on her business cards.
Getting a professional portrait done is simple, quick and effective. It's great for updating your professional social networks like Linkedin and just like Tammy, it's also useful for business cards and email signatures.
Last week we were back working with Subsea 7; our friends over in the seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and offshore service industry, at the Australian Oil and Gas (AOG) Expo held at Perth Convention Centre.
This time around we provided our corporate photography services to cover their stall, visitor interactions and some client presentations the expo.
It was also exciting to see our latest video project for them up on their screen
Subsea 7 received over 140 photos from our visit to their stall, Subsea 7 will used the photos through out internal and external communications.
Last month when James approached us about a fitness photoshoot, we found it be slightly different to others we had been involved in. This one was for national fitness magazine Men's Fitness.
James' recover story was featured in the magazine after he sustained a serious head injury after striking his head on the side of his swimming pool but has now built himself back up; both mentally and physically and is preparing to compete in bodybuilding events.
This shoot itself was done in a public place with James wanting to show a relaxed approach to his photos; i.e. less posed and more natural. Shooting in public is not an easy task for most (non-model) people but James soon found a flow and by the end admitted he enjoyed the photoshoot we had with him.
At the end of the day that's what we aim to have with all our clients; that they go home not only with a great product, but also having enjoyed the process of getting there.
Above the magazine layout. Below the chosen image.

So we're back at it again with Beast Mode Athletica; our friendly local CrossFit clothing and apparel company.
This time around we were on location for both a profile and clothing photoshoot with one of their sponsored athletes; Roxy Walker.
Roxy has just earned her spot on the WA Weightlifting Team and will shortly fly out to compete at the Australian National Weightlifting Championships. We of course wish Roxy the best of luck!
We're back again with some portrait photography. You may remember a couple of weeks ago we shot some headshots for a local real estate agent. We'll they showed them off to the colleagues in their office and next thing we know we've got two more real estate agents beefing up their portfolios.
So here's a selection of what we shot, again on the client's choice of a mixture of black and white backgrounds. These backgrounds can be customised to whatever you want or need from a branding perspective.
Professional profile, portrait or headshot images are an important part of professional life, and they are probably one of the most important things for those in the Real Estate industry.
For real estate agents, they end up on business cards and websites and often become a first point of contact, thus a first impression, an important first impression.
This week we spent some time shooting some portrait images for a local real estate agent. The images below show how simply a different background can effect the outcome of an image whilst remaining a positive professional first impression.
The process also demonstrates the ability to customise what shows behind the subject; allowing you to continue your branding with your team's portrait photography.
Local CrossFit clothing and apparel company Beast Mode Athletica asks us for a quick photoshoot to showoff the launch of their new CrossFit shorts. How could we say no?
In CrossFit, the world of mens workout shorts is a tough one. No one likes running around in a world of tight-short-shorts, but having long shorts causes its own set of problems with restricted movement. They also need to be tough as nails to put up with half the stuff CrossFitters put them though.
Beast Mode Athletica believe they have the answer locked up with these shorts which also show off their trade-mark design.
Richard Wassell is an adaptive Southern Crossfit athlete. Last year we followed him as he headed into the 2013 Indoor World Rowing Championships. This year, he's signed up to the Crossfit Open. Impressive.
You can check out the photos we captured of him and read a full article on his decision to sign up here: http://games.crossfit.com/article/giving-open-go-richard-wassell.
Here's the video we shot of Richard before he headed to the 2013 World Indoor Rowing Championship.
As always, good luck to Richard in his latest endeavors!
It's not everyday that you get to photography an Olympic weightlifter, but today was that day.... or more over two days.
Yes, over two evenings we followed and photographed Russian weightlifter Dmitry Klokov through his weightlifting seminar at Southern Cross Barbell Club.
Dmitry has a range of medals hanging up at home including a silver from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, one gold, two silver and two bronze medals from the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011 World Championships and a silver medal from the 2010 European Championships.
The full set of photos can be found on the Southern Cross Barbell Club Facebook Page
It's never to early to be up and grab a few photos!
We shot into Perth's city centre to grab some shots of Kubed Media's (www.kubedmedia.com.au/) Kube; a large (1.5m x 1.5m) 4 sided electronic screen; allowing you to display large images and videos, as they set up for the day supporting the Cancer Council's Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
Local businesses supporting charities; we think that's the way it should be!
Beast Mode Athletica (http://www.beastmodeathletica.com/) is a local crossfit clothing and apparel company.
Beast Mode asked us to come together with them to shoot some of their latest clothing.
To start with Beast Mode were only after some simple shots of their products, but after a couple of test shots with our lighting rig, they were keen o have more of our dark, moody and empowering photos.
A sample of the photography from the shoot is shown below.
