Tori's Swim for Cycling Safety

On a recent shoot with Kirby Swim, owner Bill, asked us if we would be interested in capturing a story of how a remarkable ‘Perthite’ was taking to the water to raise awareness for cycling safety.

A few weeks later, we met with Tori, whose injury in a bike vs car accident some years ago triggered her recent decision to train for the Port to Pub Swim- all in a bid to raise awareness for cycle safety in Western Australia.

Swimming has always been an important part of Tori’s life, it’s been particularly instrumental in helping her confront and overcome some unique physical challenges following an accident with a car whilst cycling.

Whilst interviewing and working with Tori to create this video for her, it was truly astonishing to hear about her passion. Not only to raise awareness around cycle safety, but also that she didn’t wish to dwell on a negative event in the past - instead, looking towards the future and wondering how she can make a brighter impact on those around her.

Tori will swim with a team of 6 in this open water challenge - something completely new to her.

You can read more of Tori’s story and her challenge to swim Port to Pub in March 2020 here

We wish Tori the very best of luck, it’s been a pleasure to help tell her story.
